To mark the 50th anniversary of NAIDOC Week, our Kimberley Customer and Community team joined the community for a series of activities, including a breakfast, march, flag raising and a vibrant Community Day at White Gum Park in Kununurra. The Community Day opened with a Welcome to Country from Agnes Armstrong and a powerful Corroboree by the Waringarri Dance Group. Community members enjoyed a range of activities - from handball targets and colouring in, to weaving, painting, PCYC youth activities and a community barbecue. The day wrapped up with fantastic local entertainment by the talented Rhys Bedford, the PCYC Youth Band, youth karaoke and Fallout Boys. We’re proud to stand alongside our communities to keep the spirit of NAIDOC Week alive, celebrating culture and connection.
